Mehdi Alirezaei (Ph.D) is an Assistant professor. He holds a B.S.C.E from the University of Shahid Chamran, Ahvaz, M.S. from the Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) and Ph.D. from the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES). He has over 15 years of professional design experience, including involvement in the structural design of new construction projects with the majority of the structures being in the one- to twenty three-story range. Project types include commercial, retail, multifamily residential, recreation, educational and laboratory buildings. Topics of research interests include: experimental studies; earthquake engineering, computer-integrated analysis; steel, concrete and steel-concrete composite frames and connections subjected to earthquake and nonlinear analysis of structures. His research and teaching activities are mainly in structural engineering, with emphasis on steel and earthquake engineering.
